Some help with web design?

Alright, I'm redesigning my site, www.grantjkidney.com. On the main page you'll see a Javascript slideshow complete with hyperlinks to new pages. What I want to do is be able to have this very slideshow appear on each of my pages. The catch however is that I'll be updating the slideshow with current news frequently. I'm a bit shaky on PHP, but I think this is the way to go. So how can I update my slideshow and have the changes reflected globally on the site?
