Is Performance and Bonus tax free?

Is Performance and Bonus tax free?
Other than my salary, my perfomrance and bonus for a year is $3000. That means $1500 per 6 months. So Do I get $1500 or is there any tax implied on that amount and I get less than $1500? I guess it shuld be tax free right? Appreciate your answers.
