I know the frustration at finding a good calculator that's non programmable. My recommendation for a non-programmable calculator is the Texas Instruments TI-30x series of calculators if the prof is really strict, as it tends to be the default model universities pick.

You didn't say this directly but are the practice tests you're taking timed and in official test conditions? If they are then that's awesome, especially for your first few tests. If not then you MUST take and practice those test under the correct conditions which means each section is timed.
