Signing up in psp network problem..HELP?

Hey Yahoo Answers i need help with my psp. I just found about psp network and updated i made an account and filled that i am in india but when i went to psp store it said- this service is not available in your country/region then i tried to take another country but when i wrote my email address it said invalid email id but my friend who lived in my colony had an account and used it (he had a ps3)
