Using the link keyword as page name
Maybe the link pages you are talking about are not indexed in the search engine you're looking at.
Use the site: command in the Google search box to see if the page is actually indexed.
Another dirty trick some webm*sters use is using a noindex,nofollow metatag on their link pages. Kinda defeats the purpose.
